Lesley is a senior planning and policy consultant who has worked with metropolitan, rural, and regional councils on a diverse range of projects. Lesley has written strategic plans and policies for a diverse range of council services, with a particular focus on recreation, open space, animal management, community facility and health and well-being planning and policy.

Having worked in local government she understands the complexity of issues that face government in planning services and infrastructure. It also means she brings insight and understanding to her various project management roles. She is recognised for her humour, genuineness, and ability to sensitively but directly address project issues and bring stakeholders together.

Lesley also provides training in plain English Writing for Government and staff mentoring. She is recognised as an industry authority on Dogs in Public Places planning, policy and management; the design of dog off-leash areas and dog parks and has presented at numerous state, national and international conferences on the topic.

Kris is a landscape architect specialising in the design of a range of open space, sport and recreation facilities including sports fields and reserves, play spaces, natural areas, trails, and amenities such as car parks, toilets, and picnic facilities.

Kris has developed a reputation for translating client needs into easy to interpret visual site plans that articulate existing site features and assets. The clarity of her design work enables her to communicate aspirations and opportunities simply and clearly.

Kris is recognised for her sensitive and perceptive understanding of her clients needs and ability to guide them through challenging projects.

Kris has been involved in a broad range of projects and has experience across all stages of projects including site investigation, stakeholder engagement, concept design, full design and documentation, tender documentation and project management.

Josie Alvaro

Josie is based in South Australia and is a versatile, insightful designer whose career spans more than a decade across urban design and landscape architecture. She has worked in both the public sector and in private consulting, and at scales ranging from city-wide down to a small parklet.

Her main areas of expertise are analysis, advisory work, and the visioning and concept stages of design. She has particular interest in the impact of places on human behaviour and experience of place.

Josie has been involved in a number of unique projects and associated research including:

  • the integrated design Strategy for Inner Adelaide
  • the development of Playground Usage Surveys for the City of Adelaide
  • Bacchus Marsh Sports Precinct and Aquatic Parks (Urbis, Vic)
  • PARking Day, City of Adelaide

Josie also has qualifications in User Experience (UX) Design and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).

Peter Haack

Peter’s experienced has positioned him as one of Australia’s experienced landscape architects and urban designers. He has a passion for highly creative design solutions that optomise functional, aesthetic, social and environmental outcomes.

He has led private and public sector landscape architecture, urban design and landscape planning projects including those involving transport; energy infrastructure; major renewal projects; visual assessments of wind farms; and open space strategies and park master plans.

Peter led the urban and public realm reference design for the Melbourne Metro Rail project, one of Victoria’s largest public transport projects; the urban design and landscape architecture project for the Peninsula Link Freeway; the preparation of a master plan for Living Links, an environmental and recreational corridor in the Dandenong Creek catchment which received an award from the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
